Committed to continual growth, I’m passionate about upskilling and regularly engage in CPD to stay current with the latest techniques and advancements in dentistry. I enjoy attending dental events and conferences, not only to expand my clinical knowledge but also to stay connected with the wider dental community.

Successfully took a PA radiograph of a 4 year old presenting with caries into pulp, irreversible pulpitis, and symptomatic apical periodontitis (furcation radiolucency present on radiograph). The patient had multiple courses of ABX and temporary restorations however XLA LLD was required.

I managed to provide local anaesthesia and reassure the patient throughout with tell-show-do, positive reinforcement and acclimatisation. LLD was removed atraumatically and pt 'did not feel' injections. Patient and mother happy

Successful extraction (atraumatic) due to gross caries

Diagnosis of CHC (chronic hyperplastic candidiasis) with low grade dysplasia and no malignancy, confirmed by biopsy after 2WW referral made.

Diagnosis of a large fibroepithelial polyp (awaiting biopsy after 2WW referral sent). A sedation referral has been sent to extract teeth of poor prognosis as the patient is highly anxious, and this was her first visit to dentist in over 20 years. Patient was very grateful and said I put her at ease

PA UR8 (caries into pulp, symptomatic apical periodontitis - unrestorable). The patient attended as an emergency after 10 years. I restored UR7 (DO), and in the process of making an immediate denture to replace UR6 and UR5 (due to be extracted as unrestorable).

BACD Rising Star Essay Prize

Awarded the runner up prize in the national essay competition for dental students in the UK, held by the BACD. The title of the essay was "Discuss the restoration of a class IV cavity with composite with reference to how optical properties can mimic nature".

Awarded the BDS Part 2 Prize for Best Student in Module C (PHEBD - Population, Health and Evidence Based Dentistry).
