ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Leena, and I’m currently a fourth-year dental student at King’s College London, where my focus has been on developing a comprehensive skill set that will help me become a well-rounded and proficient dentist. My academic journey has given me a solid foundation in the core disciplines of dentistry, but it’s the hands-on experiences and leadership roles that have truly shaped my journey and passion for the field.

I’m always looking to improve and broaden my clinical skills and knowledge. Attending conferences, participating in courses such as the Minismile Makeover by Dr. Dipesh Parmar, and shadowing highly skilled clinicians have all contributed to refining and improving my technical knowledge. As I move into my final years of dental school and beyond, I aim to become a highly skilled dentist who can adapt to the ever-evolving demands of the profession.

Beyond clinical practice, I am committed to developing strong leadership and teamwork skills. As the Conference Organiser for the British Dental Students’ Association, I gained invaluable experience leading a committee of 24 to host a successful conference attended by over 650 delegates, who gained insights from both national and international speakers. The success of this event led to my election as President of the BDSA for the upcoming year, where I will continue to build on these experiences and develop the qualities I hope to carry forward into my professional career.
