Ø  I have been practicing Shotokan Karate for 10 years, achieving my brown white belt. Training for this period has helped to improve my resilience, discipline and ability to motivate myself in dynamic rapidly changing situations.

Ø   I also enjoy swimming and water polo in my free time. For
me swimming is an important way to help me manage any stress associated with my
studies and maintain a level of fitness.

Ø   I have played an active role in Sheffield’s Dental Society
throughout my degree including being a dental parent to the younger years,
raising awareness of invisible disabilities through talks and doing revision
presentations on different topics for students in the younger years.

Ø 
 Over the years I have done various other
activities to raise awareness and money for different charities including
Chester’s Aid for the Homeless and the CLAPA (Cleft Lip and Palate Association)
and participated in the Universities ‘Smile Squad’ to help educate children and
promote oral healthcare.
