ABOUT ME

I am a recent graduate from King's College London, starting my Foundation Training in Southeast London. I am passionate about improving all aspects of general dentistry, and my clinical experience at university has made me most confident in my restorative and removable prosthodontic work.

I have documented my clinical cases and progress throughout dental school on Instagram, and I also host a podcast called Craftsmanship where I discuss clinical dentistry with other clinicians and share my own journey. In the portfolio below I share some of my finest simulated work and most transformational clinical patient cases from dental school.

Outside of dentistry, I enjoy powerlifting, teaching and photography.

MY PORTFOLIO

Upper Complete & Lower Partial CoCr Dentures. Great peripheral seal of the upper denture, and tooth-supported and retained lower denture, with bilateral group function and occluding in CR.

Definitive Jaw Registration taken in Centric Relation using Silicone, with increased incisal height, and marked centre, smile and canine lines.

Lower Master Cast of the impression taken in alginate, capturing the buccal shelves, retromolar pads & retromylohyoid fossae.

Upper edentulous master impression taken with a close fitting tray using medium and light-bodied silicone.

Simulated case of anterior attritive tooth wear, treated with six composite buildups to restore function and aesthetics.

Utilised a palatal silicone stent and composite shade layering techniques for optimal tooth shape and shade.

SImulated Restorative case, treating UL6 DO and UL7 O with composite using the fast modelling technique to create this great aesthetic and functional result.

SImulated cavity preparation including a distal proximal box.

Precise phosphoric acid etch placement to selectively etch enamel, followed by Scotchbond Universal adhesive application. This technique avoids over-etching of dentine which can compromise bond strength.

Use of a sectional matrix system to achieve proximal wall, ideal morphology and a tight contact point. In future, ideally the selection of a larger sectional band would have improved this step.

Lower denture showing optimal extension into retromylohyoid fossae and retromolar pads. Part of an upper and lower complete set, made to replace unstable and unretentive previous set. Complex case due to ridge anatomy and severe skeletal class 2 base.

Upper master impression taken in a special tray with medium and light-bodied silicone showing all captured anatomy and functional sulcal depth and width, as well as the post-dam area for a tight posterior peripheral seal.

Jaw registration taken with acrylic bases and wax rims for increased stability when capturing in CR, with marked centre, smile and canine lines. Note the class 2 setup recorded.

Wax try-in of the upper and lower complete dentures. Note the severe class 2 tooth setup in order to bring the teeth in line with arches and increase functional stability. This tooth setup required specific communication with the patient to set the expectation of the final aesthetic result.

Final dentures on the right, compared with previous dentures on the left, highlighting the increased anatomical coverage for improved retentive and support, and new class 2 occlusion improved functional stability.
